From Heart to Heart — Our Process of Nourishment and Hope
Every drop of milk we help move starts with compassion — and ends in life.
At Rose Milk Collective, we don’t store or process breast milk. Instead, we coordinate and fund the direct shipment of screened donor milk from the U.S. to licensed processors. From there, it reaches medically fragile babies — beginning in Guatemala — who would otherwise go without.
Our Unique Model
Rose Milk Collective is a milk collection partner — not a processing or storage facility.
This allows us to:
Serve more families faster
Keep overhead low and focus on donor support
Reach rural areas with fewer barriers
Our Process
-
We connect with compassionate donors through clinics, churches, and communities.
-
Donors complete lab testing and intake forms — we cover the cost.
-
Donors are provided with insulated shipping kits to send milk directly to a licensed facility.
-
Milk is shipped to a licensed facility where it’s freeze-dried — retaining its natural properties and made shelf-stable for up to 3 years, ideal for areas without reliable refrigeration.
-
Processed milk is sent to babies in greatest need — starting in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala.
Safety First
All donors undergo medical and lifestyle screening.
We partner with CLIA-certified labs for blood tests.
Milk is shipped cold and handled only by licensed processors.
We follow best practices set by the Human Milk Banking Association of North America (HMBANA).
